We teach pole fitness classes at four levels:

LEVEL 1: Introductory
LEVEL 2: Beginner
LEVEL 3: Intermediate
LEVEL 4: Advanced

All new students, who are new to pole fitness must complete 5 Introductory classes.  These classes teach the seven basic spins, and a selection of poses and dance moves. The five week timeline emphasises confidence on the pole, and students become more familiar with how the pole feels.  These first five lessons are designed to teach a fun introduction to the art of pole fitness.

Beginners learn progressional moves from Intro: spins, lifts / kicks, aerial spins and poses. At the Beginner level, you’ll learn spins and tricks which require just a little more strength and flexibility, and students are encouraged to progress at their own pace.  This is also a great opportunity to perfect the moves you mastered at Intro level, and really polish up your dance moves.  At this level you’ll also be introduced to the spinning pole, and encouraged to learn and create short dance routines.

At an Intermediate level you’ll learn basic inverts, early strength poses, reverse aerial spins, and wraps.  You’ll be encouraged to show off your new found strength and flexibility through freestyle dance sessions in class.  This level encourages students to experiment with moves, using the strength and skills built up from earlier lessons, and an emphasis is placed on increasing strength and tone.

Advanced students learn the really scary, flash stuff.  Aerial and hand held inverts, handsprings and cartwheels onto the pole, dives and other tricks executed quite far off the ground.  This class is quite demanding, and requires an advanced level of strength and flexibility

Progression to levels above Beginner are based on ability, control, and strength.  Students are encouraged to progress at their own pace, to ensure they fully master all the moves and tricks before progressing to the next level.  Instructors can help you assess when you’re ready to progress.

Our non-pole classes are for anybody.  However, we restrict the Burlesque classes to females at the moment.

Dance Fitness is a 45+ minutes of intense crazy cardio with a Latin beat.   Six basic dance steps are taught: Salsa, Cha cha, Samba, Zouk, Merengue and Bachata, this is preceeded with a warm up and body isolations. This class is a similar alternative to Zumba and fantastic workout while having loads of fun.

Vertical Strength is designed by our tame Personal Trainer Julz.  This works on the core muscle groups by destabilising the body and over-loading the muscles we commonly use.  This is a great class for anyone wanting to strengthen up the core and tone up muscles.

The silks used in the pole studio will be rigged at a very low height with crash mats for your safety. Silks can be rigged at any height between 3.5m-10m. These aerial classes are designed to gain confidence in your moves and wraps at a low height. Eventually students may progress to a higher safe working height.
